Cabinet companies continue to stay one step ahead of the trends, providing a multitude of style options, colors and woods for today's clients. Fresh & Functional s the modern kitchen evolves, kitchen cabinet trends continue to move away from ornamentation and traditional curved, intricate details to more clean, straight lines and frameless door styles. Painted finishes trump woods right now, with crisp tones and warm neutrals leading the pack. White is still the leader for finishes, but these whites run the gamut from creamy painted hues to sheer stains that highlight the wood grains underneath. Gray is continuing its surge, expanding into a range of shades from the palest pale to the deepest charcoal. In fact, a rise in black-toned cabinets is being noted, along with a trend toward taupe as the newest neutral. When browns do make an appearance, they are still on the gray side, with weathered looks and natural wood grains shining through. Cabinets aren't all about what's on the outside, however, as interior amenities make the most of kitchen spaces. Customized storage – such as blind-corner pull-outs and drawer fittings – are used in tandem with full-extension slides, lift-up and lift-out features and LED lighting to provide the most accessible units to date. KBDN's 33rd annual 'Kitchen Cabinet Style & Design Guide' pro- vides a look at cabinet manufacturers, what they offer and what parts of the country they serve. It is designed to provide important informa- tion to help cabinet specifiers stay in touch with the products that are currently available on the market. Since cabinet lines and offerings change frequently, KBDN suggests that product specifiers contact the companies directly when needing additional information. *4-B WOOD CUSTOM CABINETS 255 West Greenwich Rd.
