CEDIA Joins 2017 DCW HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show and International Builders' Show have entered into a new strate- gic partnership with CEDIA, the leading trade association for the residential technology industry, to be part of the 2017 Design & Construction Week, show orga- nizers announced. Design & Construction Week (DCW), the co-location of the IBS and KBIS, will take place Jan. 10-12 in Orlando. The IBS is owned by the Washington, DC-based National Associa- tion of Home Builders; KBIS is owned by the National Kitchen & Bath Association, headquar - tered here. Under the terms of the part- nership, the IBS show floor will now feature the CEDIA "Smart Home Pavilion," designated for exhibitors that specialize in tech- nology solutions for the home, show sponsors said. More than 110,000 residen- tial and design professionals attended the third annual De- sign & Construction Week held this past January in Las Vegas, according to sponsors. Found- ing partners NKBA and NAHB co-located KBIS and IBS, and were joined by two other part - ner events: the International W i n d o w C o v e r i n g s E x p o (IWCE) and the International Surface Event (TISE). Hong Kong Hosts Mega Show HONG KONG — The Mega Show Series, the largest trade exhibi - tion for kitchen & dining, gifts, bathroom products, housewares, lifestyle products and other cate- gories in the Asia-Pacific region, will be taking place next month in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Over 52,000 international import and export houses, agents, wholesalers, distributors, mail-order com- panies and retailers from 130 countries and regions attended last year's event. Organized by Idea Trade Limited, the Mega Show Series is in its 14th year. This year's show will follow the new format im- plemented in 2015, which divided the show into two separate events – Mega Show Series Part 1 and Mega Show Series Part 2. Mega Show Part 1 will take place from Oct. 20-23, 2016, and focus on eight categories, including the Asian Kitchen & Dining Show and the Asian Housewares & Home Décor Show. Mega Show Part 2 is scheduled to fol- low from Oct. 27-29, 2016, and will focus on the remaining categories, including the Asian Sanitary & Bathroom Acces- sories Show and the Asian Housewares & Home Textiles Show.
