#BLANCODreamKitchen Contest BLANCO, THE GERMAN sink and faucet manu- facturer, challenged designers, specifers and homeowners to design their version of the ultimate dream kitchen for its #BLANCODreamKitchen Contest. Participants were asked to create a hand or digital drawing of an original idea that included a BLANCO PRECIS Medium Single Sink with drainer and a BLANCOCULINA Mini Faucet. A jury of design professionals examined the entries and chose frst-, second- and third-place winners this past fall. The winning entry was submitted by Florida-based designer Marilyn Russell, who received a $1,000 prize. Two runners-up – Milwaukee designer Lila Guizado and Philadelphia designer Mick Ricereto – received a CULINA Mini Faucet valued at $650. This rendering, created by designer Marilyn Russell, took frst place in the #BLANCODreamKitchen Contest. Dramatic wood beams on the ceiling were carried through to the island, whose centerpiece was the BLANCO PRECIS Medium Single Sink and BLANCOCULINA Mini Faucet. A bright blue on the island brought out the vivid colors of the tile backsplash, giving the room lots of life. Mick Ricereto, a Philadelphia-based designer, was tapped as a runner up for this drawing in the #BLANCODreamKitchen Contest. Dramatic architectural details abound in this contemporary kitchen, from the dark separation wall to the light fxture to the gray-toned cabinets. A futuristic island takes center stage, incorporating the BLANCO PRECIS Medium Single Sink and BLANCOCULINA Mini Faucet as its own work of art. Milwaukee designer Lila Guizado was named a runner up for this kitchen rendering. A portrait in white, this kitchen gains its light, bright aesthetic from glass-front upper cabinets and an aqua-toned tile backsplash and aqua touches around the room. A dramatic skylight illuminates the center island, which features the BLANCO PRECIS Medium Single Sink and BLANCOCULINA Mini Faucet. 52 Kitchen & Bath Design News • January 2016 AWARDS
