January 2018 • KitchenBathDesign.com 21 Coverings Looks For Rock Stars ARLINGTON, VA — Coverings, the international tile and stone show, is now accepting nom- inations for 2018 Rock Stars – an emerging leaders program honoring the best and brightest young industry talent. Individuals under the age of 35 and currently employed by or as an architect, designer, distributor, retailer, contractor/installer, fabricator, specifier, trade association or manufacturer in the tile or stone industry are eligible for the award, and must be nominated by a colleague who is also active within the industry. Selected 2018 Rock Stars and their nominators will be honored at the Rock Star Awards Luncheon during Coverings 2018. In addition Christiana Trains Designers ATGLEN, PA — Christiana Cab- inetry recently held a three-day training event where designers were trained on the design ele- ments of the International Metric (IM) collection from the firm, as well as the custom versatility of its more traditional styles. Gerald Metzler, president of Christiana Cabinetry, shared with attendees the company's new production innovations and strategies, along with aspects of the business brand and sto- ry. Additionally, Trevor Milkins, manager of Russell Plywood, Inc., presented a review of recent proj- ects and an in-depth workshop on Veneers. Gerald Metzler shared, "I believe one of the most import- ant investments we can make as a company is training for our designers and our employees. Product knowledge empowers the designer to create unique and innovative designs for the client." Attendees were also treated to a horse-drawn wagon ride and a meal prepared by Chef Wes Trout, district sales manager with BSH Appliances. The training event concluded with a visit to the Brandywine Conservatory and Museum of Art in Chadds Ford, PA, where the group enjoyed a private tour. to being profiled on the Coverings website for one year, Rock Stars will also receive a free one-night hotel stay in Atlanta for Coverings 2018, social media promotion, inclusion in a Coverings press release and a dedicated Rock Star badge ribbon.
