Show House to Debut in Nashville NASHVILLE, TN — The O'More De- signer Show House, sponsored each year by the O'More College of Design in Franklin, TN, will this year be located on the property owned for 50 years by the late country music icon Eddy Arnold. A r n o l d , a co n s e r va t i o n i s t , l e f t instructions that the proper ty be d eve l o p e d o n l y w i t h s u s t a i n a b l e methods. The result is a new neigh- borhood in Nashville called Vocé (Italian for "Voice"), which practices "dark sky" lighting, recycles construc- tion waste and uses native materials, etc. The Show House will be a center- piece of Voce. The all-black, avant-garde Show House will be designed by alumni of O'More and, for the first time, all of the designers will be assisted by student apprentices who are studying interior design at their alma mater. The Show House will be open to the public from October 19 through Novem- ber 12, 2017. Cersaie Gears Up for Event Next Month in Italy NEW YORK — The 35th edition of Cersaie – the internation- al exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings – will take place at the Bologna Exhibition Center in Bologna, Italy from September 25-29, 2017. The show will feature over 800 exhibitors from around the world including architects, interior designers, tile installers, distributors and media. Cersaie's annual conference and seminar series "Build- ing, Dwelling, Thinking" will include notable figures from the international architecture and design community, including award-winning Chilean architect Sebastián Irarrázaval and Elisa Valero Ramos from Spain, who specializes in bio-climatic and energy-saving design, as well as educational architecture. The winners of the Ceramics of Italy Journalism Award and next year's Beautiful Ideas contest winner will be an - nounced during the International Press Conference, which will take place on Monday, September 25 at the Palazzo Ducale in Sassuolo. One of the many special events, the 6th edition of "Cer- saie Designs Your Home" will be held on Thursday and Friday, September 28-29, where leading Italian interior de- sign magazine professionals will offer a consulting service to consumers on their personal design projects. Cosentino Opens City Center in San Francisco NEW YORK — Cosentino has opened its third North Amer- ican City Center, located in the renowned San Francisco Design Center Galleria Building. A reception to celebrate the opening was held recently and included members of the city's architecture and design community. San Francisco is the latest of nine Cosentino City Centers to open around the globe. Its 3,000-sq.-ft. space boasts kitchen areas, a gallery display of full slabs and a Dekton Test Lab. The Selection Center features a state-of-the-art LED sample viewing program.
