Kitchens At Work afety and accessibility are key elements in any great kitchen design. Whatever the physical capabilities of the users, the design should work for all members of the household. Cabinet pull-outs and pull-downs provide easy access to contents in deep recesses and dark corners for all. Touch faucets allow for a cleaner environment and provide service even when hands are busy. And new remote control and smart device access via Wi-Fi can operate every- thing from lighting to cooking appliances. In this issue, Kitchen & Bath Design News takes a look at some of the products on the market that make the kitchen smarter, more functional and beautiful. 1. Beckon, Kohler's touchless kitchen faucet, incorporates Response touch- less technology for hands-free functionality. The faucet uses AC power so there are no batteries to replace, and an LED light on the handle indicates when the faucet is operational. The pull-down sprayhead uses ProMotion technology, which features a braided hose with swivel ball joint. The tempera- ture memory enables the faucet to be turned on and of at the same tempera- ture set during the previous usage. Circle No. 200 on Product Card 2.
