American Standard Opens Studio P I S C ATAWAY, N J — A m e r i c a n Standard Brands has opened a new in- dustrial design studio at its Piscataway, NJ research facility. In the past year, American Standard has tripled the size of its design de- partment, as well as invested in an innovation team. The 4,200-sq.-ft. industrial design studio was created to accommodate the growing de- partments and provide a work space for developing product designs. The creative team will also enjoy the conve- nience of the DXV by American Standard luxury showroom and ofce space in the Flat Iron district in Manhattan. "You can sense the spirit of creativity as soon as you enter the new design studio," stated Jean-Jacques L'Henaf, v.p. – de- sign, LIXIL Water Technology Americas, American Standard and DXV, who leads the design team. L'Henaf believes the studio's proximity to New York City will aid in attracting industrial designers. In fact, the newest member of the industrial design team is Brian Kalember. He previously worked as an associate industrial designer for Delta Faucet Co. All Tile Expands Distribution INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Chicago- based All Tile has been appoint- ed as the exclusive distributor of Samsung Staron Solid Surfaces and Samsung Radianz Quartz Surfaces for the states of Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. With its existing territory of Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan, All Tile now covers most of the North Central Region. "With our significant inventory, enhanced logistics and a team of in- dustry veterans, we're going to raise the bar," said Dave Raymond, All Tile's surfacing products manager. The family-owned All Tile distributes premier lines of building materials and has 25 facilities in the Midwest. Bostic Joins Cabico as V.P. COATICOOK, QC — Industry vet- eran Joan Bostic has joined Cabico as v.p. of sales & marketing. Bostic's responsibilities include overseeing the sales and marketing teams to expand the Cabico brand, and reinforcing the company's brand promise to a wide network of kitchen dealers, builders, inte- rior designers and architects. Her previous experience includes initial roles as a kitchen and bath designer and previous managerial positions at Wm Ohs Custom Cabinetry, Habersham Home, Elkay and KWC America.
