Baldwin Hosts Design Council LAKE FOREST, CA — Baldwin Hardware recently hosted the frst Baldwin Design Summit in New York City. Design Council members were able to share ideas on the Baldwin brand and discuss social media strategies with Baldwin executives through a series of strategy sessions. "The Baldwin Design Council is made up of talented architects and designers from around the country, and we wanted to ofcial- ly welcome them to the Baldwin team through an experiential event called the Baldwin Design Summit," said PJ Rosch, Baldwin brand manager. "Throughout their two days in New York, council members shared ideas, collaborated with Baldwin's product development team and provided an invaluable amount of feedback that will shape the future of Baldwin Hardware. The Design Summit consisted of an in- tense series of strategy sessions in which the 25 council members worked with the Baldwin team to discuss industry trends, Baldwin products and the overall Baldwin brand. Members received CEU credits for some of the events during the summit. MSI Opens Detroit Location ORANGE, CA — M S International Inc. has opened its 19th distribu- tion center, this one just outside of Detroit, MI. This new facility for MSI features a 65,000-sq.-ft. distribution cen- ter showcasing a full offering of MSI's product lines of natural stone, Q Premium Natural Quartz, porcelain, decorative mosaics and hardscaping products. The new state-of-the-art showroom is the most spacious slab selection loca- tion in the area, notes the frm. The Slab Selection Showroom in- cludes a 10,000-sq.-ft. Countertop & Slab Selection Gallery displaying over 200 colors of granite, marble and other natural stones from around the world. In addition, the slab selection showroom includes a dedicated area showing approxi- mately 45 colors of QTM Premium Natural Quartz. The 5,000-sq.-ft. Tile Showroom exhibits hundreds of porcelain, granite, marble, travertine, glass, limestone and ceramic SKUs – in- cluding more than 100 brand new product introductions for 2015. According to Rup Shah, Co-Pres- ident of MSI, "We have been servicing the Michigan market for many years without a distribution center in Michigan. Thanks to the growth and encouragement from our customers, we opened this new facility to bring local availability of MSI's full breadth of product to cus- tomers across Michigan."
