However, consumers are look- ing for a beneft beyond simply WiFi for an online connection," says Maynard. "Jenn-Air brand is focusing on meaningful technology and connected products that ofer meaningful benefts to users." This might include turning an appliance on and of from a smart phone, hav- ing a new appliance automatically registered or increased diagnostic abilities for service calls. Bedard also believes that "smart" appliances will continue to gain in popularity as long as the technology meets a real consumer need. "We know that our customers are early adopt - ers of new technology and, when buying appliances, they seek convenience in addition to top-notch quality and long-lasting performance. By integrating our appliances into these home automation solutions, our customers can experience advanced options for full control of their appliances," she says. Davies adds that connected appliances have a value in being able to push new software changes directly to the customer as they are developed. The oven's distinc- tive digital technology senses the amount and size of the food, and automatically adjusts all of the details of cooking. Circle No. 193 on Product Card Sub-Zero integrated refrigeration units have no visible hinges or grilles, making the refrigeration indistinguishable from other cabinets and drawers around it. The refrigerators and freezers also incorporate the company's most advanced freshness features, keeping the food fresh longer, according to the company. Circle No. 194 on Product Card By generating a magnetic feld that turns cookware into a heating element, Miele's induction cooktops heat foods twice as fast as cooking with gas, all while conserving energy, according to the company. The result is a safe, energy-efcient way to cook. Circle No. 190 on Product Card The fully integrated HCB 1060 from Liebherr is the company's frst refrigerator to feature its BioFresh technology. Each of its drawers can be used individually to provide ideal humid- ity for versatile meat, cheese, fruit and vegetable storage. Its 24" depth is in line with the average cabinet depth to provide a seam- less look.
