January 2015 ForResidentialPros.com | 17 LAUFEN Opens NA Headquarters Miami, FL — LAUFEN has opened its first U.S. showroom and new North American headquarters. Located at the famed artist and design gallery known as Miami Ironside located here, LAUFEN's contem- porary "concept" showroom opened its doors last month to the design community. "Besides being a gateway to the Americas and a cross- roads of the design community, Miami has long been recog- nized as home to some of the world's most infuential design- ers, architects and artists," says Javier Korneluk, U.S. managing director of LAUFEN. "We're honored to be part of Miami's extended design community and pleased to demonstrate our continued commitment to growing our presence in the North American market." The showroom, which is located on 7610 NE 4th Court, ofcially opened its doors dur- ing Art Basel/Design Miami week in conjunc tion with Design Escape at Miami Ironside, an eight-day celebration featuring art exhibitions, performances and net- working events at the gallery. The showroom will contain the frst North American presentation of the company's SaphirKeramik proto- types crafted by industrial designers Konstantin Grcic and Toan Nguyen. An innovative lighting and design installation, created by Swiss design- er/artist Tom Strala, will also be on display as part of the exhibit, which launched earlier this year in Milan, and has since traveled to London and Belgrade. Circle No. 8 on Product Card Hudson Valley Lighting Breaks Ground Newburgh, NY — David L i t t m a n , f o u n d e r a n d president of Hudson Valley Lighting, celebrated the of f icial groundbreaking of its new world head- quar ters recently with elected area officials in- cluding Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, Senator Bill Larkin and City of Newburgh Mayor Judy Kennedy. The new location will house a 140,000-sq.-ft. research and development, design, production and distribu- tion center located on the 15.2 acres of the former City of Newburgh landfill on Scobie Drive. "While much of the lighting industr y has outsourced to Asia, we are more committed than ever to manufacturing and distributing right here in Newburgh," said Hudson Valley Lighting Founder and President David Littman.
