"Luxury is the word in the bathroom, defnitely," says Wells. The frm's Omega bath line ofers many fnishes that replicate nature, responding to the desire for natural, uncontrived fnishes. These are honest fnishes, he says, with a dab of luxury on top. "White as we know it is changing," says Todd. "Of- whites and beiges continue to grow in popularity and grays are the fastest growing color scheme for the room." Natural wood fnishes are in high demand accord- ing to Neilson Howard. The Woven Strand Bamboo in Native Trails' Renewal Series has a grain pattern similar to traditional hardwoods, and is being very well received in the market, she says. The frm's Chestnut fnish is made from reclaimed barn wood and fencing. "The nicks and grooves of the naturally weathered wood add to its appeal, which is rustic yet somehow luxurious in its authenticity and craftsmanship," she says. She adds that gray is currently huge. "Among our vanities, the gray-hued Driftwood fnish in our Americana Collection is sud- denly among the most popular fnishes we ofer," she says. Cindy Draper, marketing manager for Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. in Monroe, WA says, "The colors in bathrooms are subdued grays and creams, along with pale shades of neutral to help create this place of luxury and convenience." She adds that black and white or monochromatic color schemes are also popular. In smaller spaces, she says, people are more willing to take a chance on a bold punch of color, or with darker stains and paints on their cabinets. Giford says Hastings is making a big push this year to bring color back into the bathroom. "Color is everywhere in our new collections: our Made and Sign vanities ofer more than 50 fnishes in gloss, matte, lacquer and painted oak. We're showing glass tops that will have color." Korneluk adds that clean, white fnishes remain strong for ceramics, and Laufen is also seeing interest in unique colors such as the amber, orange, blue, gold and smoky gray colors ofered in their Kartell collection for their furniture vanity lines. STORAGE AND DISPLAY Storage is essential in keeping a space organized, peaceful and clutter free. However, designers must know the specifc preferences and needs of the homeowner to make the space functional, practical and aesthetically pleasing. Homeowners are choosing a combination of open and closed storage solu- My View and Perception are two medicine cabinets that are part of Villeroy & Boch's line of bathroom and wellness products. My View medicine cabinets have a versatile interior – allowing for both tempered glass shelves and adaptable multi-purpose storage containers – and LED sidelights that eliminate shadows. The Perception collection is equipped with tempered glass shelves, deep frames for increased storage capacity and a non-refective fnish behind the shelves. The Perception+ (shown) adds LED lights, an electrical outlet and switch and other features. The cabinets are available in various sizes. Circle No. 174 on Product Card Designed by Canadian furniture designer Joel Dupras, Wetstyle's M Collection is imbued with a Japanese-spirit, emphasizing geometric lines, hidden handles, integrated lighting and sleek surfaces. Premium-quality touches include 45º beveled edges on the cabinetwork, concealed European hinges and slow-closing drawers. The hand crafted collection is sealed with a Level 5 marine-grade fnish, ensuring resistance to moisture, stains and UV light. New to the collection is a 72" mirrored cabinet (3 doors) as well as a 70" storage cabinet (2 doors). Additionally, the line is now available in fve new fnishes – Smoked Oak, Blue Steel Oak, Hemp Oak, Sand Oak and Light Grey Oak. Five modular components comprise the collection – a vanity, lavatory, storage cabinet, mirrored cabinet and linen cabinet. Circle No. 172 on Product Card Hardware Resources has added new vanity sizes with a new clean white fnish to its Douglas Vanity series by Elements. Sporting clean lines and faceted details, the line is also available in black, and includes a Carrera Marble top. The original 24" and new 30" models feature a full- size cabinet for storage, while the 48" vanity features his-and- hers drawers in addition to the center cabinet. For the master bath, there is the 60" double-sink model that features two cabinets with a center bank of drawers providing ample space. All sizes and fnishes are also ofered without a top, a frst for the Elements vanity line. Circle No. 171 on Product Card Kohler has launched the Tailored Vanity collection, which includes fve vanity design styles. These each feature a host of customizable options, including drawer/ door confgurations, hardware, organizational accessories, color, fnish, as well as countertops and sinks. Designers can work with homeowners to choose the desired exterior, interior, organizational accessories and top for customized look and function. The fve styles of vanities are Poplin, Damask, Jacquard, Jute (shown) and Marabou. Circle No. 173 on Product Card Wall-mounted, and featuring a full-length open shelf at the bottom for linens or decorative items, the Andrea vanity is part of The CG Collection by Christopher Grubb. The vanity ofers deep, soft-close drawers for abundant storage as well as a contemporary style. Options include glass or man-made stone countertops and an array of sinks. Andrea is available in an Espresso fnish, and is ofered in 48" and 72" lengths. Circle No. 169 on Product Card Dark Black Walnut, with its eye- catching grain pattern, pairs with modern elements in this high- rise master suite from Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. The open storage keeps towels and other toiletries within easy reach. Circle No. 170 on Product Card The Adorn Vanity from Robern is the company's frst ever freestanding vanity. The freestanding design allows for an easier installation and a wider variety of confguration options for the entire bathroom space. The design also provides added storage and accessibility with an open glass shelf. Details such optional towel bars and drawers equipped with electric outlets and hair dryer organizers help to place the most frequently used items within easy reach. The vanity is available in 24", 30" and 36". Circle No. 168 on Product Card
