U.S. Patent 8,475,186 Circle No. 11 on Product Card Kohler Stores Change Hands Kohler, WI — The Kohler Store locations in Glenview and Burr Ridge, IL have been acquired by Logan Square Alu- minum Supply, Inc. d/b/a Studio 41, an authorized Kohler plumbing distributor. The company will operate the kitchen and bath retail locations as distributor- owned Kohler Signature Stores. Studio 41 owns and operates sev- eral kitchen and bath showrooms in the greater Chicago area. Addition- ally, Studio 41 plans to open a new state-of-the-art retail Kohler Signa- ture Store at the corner of Hubbard and Orleans in late summer 2014. Kohler Co. developed and opened its frst retail store at the Merchandise Mart in 2005 to serve as a best-in-class kitchen and bath retail outlet with design services. This service will be continued by Studio 41 at the Glenview and Burr Ridge locations. The Kohler Store at the Merchandise Mart, which remained under Kohler Co. ownership, closed its doors on June 30. KOHLER Signature Stores service Kohler, Sterling and Kallista plumbing products, as well as Robern mirrored cabinets and vanities. Kohler Co. will continue operating both the Ann Sacks Tile & Stone and Baker Furniture show- rooms at The Merchandise Mart. MIA Relocates Ofces Cleveland, OH — The Marble Institute of America has relocat- ed its world headquarters from Westlake to Oberlin, OH. The move increases the MIA ofce space from 2,800 square feet to 4,200 square feet, with additional room to grow. In 2015, the MIA intends to open a new training room at the Oberlin location. MIA Executive V.P. and CEO Jim Hieb said, "We seized an opportunity to relocate the MIA headquarters to a building that provided growth opportu- nity." He added, "The new ofce includes a wide variety of stone- work that was donated by over a dozen MIA member companies." MIA's new address is 380 East Lo- rain Street, Oberlin, OH 44074. The new fax number is 440-774-9222; the telephone number remains the same at 440-250-9222. IWF Registration Up Atlanta, GA — The International Woodworking Fair (IWF) has noted that registration for IWF 2014 grows daily and is pacing ahead of the 2012 Fair. The largest woodworking tech- nology trade show in North America will be held August 20-23 in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center.
