Circle No. 6 on Product Card April SEN/ KBDN Seminars Set Melville, NY — Philadelphia and New York City will serve as sites this month for the second and third programs in a series of all-day seminars produced in 2014 under the terms of an exclusive alliance between Kitchen & Bath Design News and the SEN Design Group. The six-city seminar series, which kicked of in San Francis- co this January, is scheduled for April 16 and April 30 at the Cosen- tino Showrooms in Philadelphia and New York, respectively. T itled "Systemizing Your Sales Approach for Maximum Proft," the program is led by SEN v.p./education Tom Blau. Cre- ated specifcally for showroom owners, managers and sales de- signers, the day-long programs focus on how kitchen and bath dealers can improve closing per- centages, sales volume and gross margins by implementing a well- thought-out selling system keyed to today's market. The KBDN -SEN seminar series will also include the following stops: Mockett Names Design Winners Manhattan Beach, CA — Doug Mockett & Co. has announced the winners of its annual Design Competition, which in 2013 drew a record- number of entries, according to the frm. Entries from two former First Place winners were cited as the best inno- vative product designs and chosen to be produced for sale by the company. William Lawrence, of A n n a , T X r e - ceived a f irst place award for three different panel grip de- sign concepts (see photo at right, top). Additionally, Julien Egger, of Los Angeles, CA, received a first place award for an aluminum bracket shelf support design (see photo at right, bottom). Both winning participants will receive a $1,000 cash prize, a trophy and royalties based on sales. • May 14: Chicago. • Oct. 1: Kansas City, MO. • Oct. 29: Denver.
