KBIS 2013: Products on Display 1 KBIS Spotlights Product Trends W ith the backdrop of New Orleans, one of the country's most historic cities, the 2013 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show will make a bit of history of its own. The 32nd annual KBIS, owned by the Hackettstown, NJ-based National Kitchen & Bath Association and produced by Nielsen Business Media, will be held April 19-21 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. First up, a brand new conference series, "Voices from the Industry," will feature some 70 conference speakers discussing design, trends, business management, sales and marketing and so much more. The show's main hub is the exhibit foor, where the new and now products are presented. Innovative products from all categories – including appliances, cabinets, plumbing fxtures, countertops and hardware – are on display and waiting to be viewed and experienced. Here and on the next 10 pages, Kitchen & Bath Design News presents just some of the products that will be seen at KBIS 2013. 3 2 1. Winter Carnival is one of six new HD Laminate designs from Wilsonart (Booth 3335). The laminate features bold colors and a pattern that resembles stone. Circle No. 210 on Product Card 4 2. The Rohl (Booth 2335) Shaws Classic Single Bowl Modern Undermount Fireclay Kitchen Sink is now part of the Shaws Fireclay Collection. The sink embodies contemporary design with its simplicity, while providing ease of cleaning via the undermount installation. Circle No. 211 on Product Card 3. Robern's (Booth 4035) Compact Vanity ofers customizable storage in a modern aesthetic. Standard components include a hanging tray and glass bin set for organization, slow-close drawers and a durable aluminum-frame construction that withstands moisture, according to the company. Optional features include a night light built into the drawer handle, in-drawer electric power and a hair dryer organizer. Circle No. 212 on Product Card 5 6 4. The Betty collection of decorative hardware from Berenson Corp. (Booth 1301) has subtle elements that refect a period in pop culture. Pulls are ofered in 3" and 96mm center to center and are accompanied by an arch or fower knob. Finishes available are Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Verona Bronze and Pink. Circle No. 213 on Product Card 5. The nine newest members of the DuPont (Booth 4327) Corian solid surfaces collection fall into three main color trends. Raw showcases fresh hues including Whipped Cream and Seafoam. Interference explores semiprecious stones, with Pebble and Desert among the colors. Crystallized and frosted solids are refected in Solidify, with Deep Sea, Stardust and Mineral featured. DuPont has also added three colors to its Zodiaq quartz line – Coarse Marfl, Coarse Carrara and Snow Flurry. Circle No. 214 on Product Card 6. With Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet's (Booth 3701) Hybrid Fire Grill, users can cook with gas, wood or charcoal either separately or all at the same time just by opening a drawer. The company's assortment features three grill sizes and three models within each size, including freestanding and built-in versions. Circle No. 215 on Product Card 7 7. The base of the Jordan Petite Sink Chest from Ambella Home Collection (Booth 3461) is crafted from Gmelina solids adorned with etched brass detailing.
