June 2019 • 21 Dallas Design Week Draws Trade Pros DALLAS — Dallas Market Cen- ter welcomed more than 1,100 members of the design com- munity at "Dallas Design Week: Design Intelligence," a weeklong series of events that showcased Dallas-area designers and indus - try experts, including some with kitchen/bath industry ties. "Dallas Design Week: De- sign Intelligence was a massive success, and on behalf of our open-daily design showrooms, we thank all who attended," said Michael Bauer, v.p./Retail Development, Design for the Dallas Market Center, a whole- sale marketplace that connects interior designers and related trade professionals with manu- facturers in home décor, lighting and other specialities. The next edition of Dallas Design Week will take place Sept. 23-27. Registration Open For CEDIA Expo ALPHARETTA, GA — CEDIA Expo 2019 has opened registra- tion for residential integrated technology, design and construc- tion professionals who wish to attend the annual Conference and Expo, set for Sept. 10-14 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. CEDIA Expo, the leading an - nual exhibition for the residential custom technology industry, attracted more than 20,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors in 2018, according to event or- ganizers. The event features a wide range of product displays, e d u c a t i o n a l s e s s i o n s , n e t- working events and special presentations. "CEDIA Expo 2019 is the only destination to debut the newest technology innovations geared specifically to the residential market," said Brian Pagel, senior v.p. for show producer Emerald Expositions. "Our plan for 2019 is to continue building connections between smart home technolo- gy brands, residential technology integrators, architects, designers and builders, by creating programming and interactive platforms that intentional- ly bring all audiences together in one location." Among the features of CEDIA 2019 will be a Design + Connection Pavilion anchored by the National Kitchen & Bath Association and the American Society of Interior Designers. A lounge area for conversations and consultations will be surrounded by design and construction brands and products offering technology integration capabilities, event officials stated.
