Product Trend Report THG���s 1900 kitchen faucet combines a high spout, pne embellishments and cast cross handles in a bridge construction. The signature inset pieces on the handles denote ���hot��� and ���cold��� in white porcelain. The faucet is available as a deck- or wall-mount and with either an embellished curved or straight extended spout, or as a singlehole pot pller. Circle No. 160 on Product Card Mila International���s line of kitchen sinks features the company���s Tri-Mount installation system, which features 1/4"-thick stainless steel mounted three ways ��� undermount, drop-in and qush-mount. Flush mounting provides a seamless transition, with no space for food particles to get trapped. Circle No. 161 on Product Card The Undermount Single Combo Sink from Dawn Kitchen & Bath Products features a removable divider, which creates a dual workspace for maximized functionality and water savings. The sink is made from 16-gauge stainless steel and features a satin pnish. The divider is made of clear plastic and can be used as a cutting board. Circle No. 162 on Product Card have only increased in popularity.��� Schrage adds, ���Stainless steel holds its own fan base with hush coats diminishing sound and new shapes and proples that satisfy the need for a design statement as well as superb function.��� Although stainless may still be king, there is a rise in other materials and pnishes as well, some manufacturers say. Emens, for instance, says, ���Natural stone looks with long-term durability are really popular,��� adding that the company���s cafe brown, anthracite and tru���e (a warm grey neutral) are the most popular looks in Blanco���s Silgranit II line. Blanco���s newest color, Cinder, follows the trend that o���ers a warm grey that has browns and blacks in it ��� helping it both stand out and integrate with other elements in the kitchen, she adds. Ken Fey, v.p./COO of Houzer, Inc. in Hamilton, NJ says, ���Stainless steel continues to command over 70% of the material category in kitchen sinks; however, granite composite sinks are unrelenting in their increasing popularity and continue to gain more share each year.��� The pnish for this type of sink varies, he says, with the optimal mix one that is non-porous with a smooth feel to ensure ease in cleaning and less chance of harboring bacteria. Faucets must coordinate with the chosen look and style When it comes to quartz-granite kitchen sinks, black is hot right now. There is, however, some uptick in using pnishes that help personalize the look of the kitchen. David Emmons, product manager for Brasstech, Inc. in Santa Ana, CA says, ���Although chrome and stainless steel remain the most popular pnishes, we are seeing an increase in demand for specialty antique brass, nickel and copper pnishes which allow the homeowner to customize their d��cor to meet their unique design vision. Judd Lord, director of industrial design for Indianapolisbased Delta Faucet Co.���s Brizo brand, says that warm pnishes ��� particularly Brushed Bronze, Polished Nickel and Venetian Bronze ��� are being used more often, particularly on what many would consider more contemporary styles. ���It���s an intriguing use of these pnishes to make the easy-to-clean, updated contemporary look warmer, more friendly and inviting. For a long time, walk into a kitchen, and all you would see was a wash of stainless steel. Now, homeowners are more willing to mix and From the Galley Sink comes a work station that includes cutting boards, colanders, a drain rack and stainless bowls. The accessories slide above and below each other on two tiers inside the sink. Circle No. 167 on Product Card MotionSense from Moen Inc. utilizes advanced sensors to detect movement in two sensing zones, setting water qow in motion. Kitchen faucets with MotionSense can be controlled in three ways: the Wave Sensor at the top of the faucet starts and stops water qow with a hand movement above the faucet; the Ready Sensor near the base of the faucet identipes when an object is placed beneath the spout, and the handle on the side of the faucet allows for manual operation. MotionSense is available on the Arbor pull-down, Hayspeld pull-down and Delaney pull-down kitchen faucets. Circle No. 165 on Product Card Everpure has launched its upgraded Helia Instant Hot & Chilled Water Dispenser with an enhanced frame and greater capacity to produce more cold water. Originally launched in 2008, Helia merges two separate units ��� the Solaria Instant Hot Water Dispenser and Polaria Instant Chilled Water Dispenser ��� into one system. The unit features customizable temperature controls, and can now produce 30 liters per hour of cold water. Circle No. 166 on Product Card Sigma Designer Faucetry���s single-hole kitchen faucet features a contemporary prople with a joystick-style lever handle. The swiveling faucet features a horizontal pull-out spray that boasts a dual-function head with stream and spray. The optional light in the base of the faucet changes from blue to red, reqecting the temperature of the water. The faucet is available in Chrome, Satin Nickel, Sable Bronze and Matte Black.
