Kitchen Goes from Congested to Glamorous AFTER By removing the wall separating the kitchen from the family room and bringing the family room floor up to kitchen level, Bustamante was able to remedy the issues of flow. The additional space allowed for the inclusion of every feature a home chef could dream of: a Wolf oven suite, a large island, a five-foot work- station from The Galley and two appliance garages – perfect for the homeowners' frequent baking parties. Rounding out the suite of entertainment features is a furniture-style wine hutch at the far end of the kitchen, recessed into the space beneath the staircase. Glamorous touches such as a crystal chandelier above the is- land, triangle-cut marble tiles on the range wall and, perhaps most notably, the glittering, gold-tiled custom range hood, give the space a feeling of tasteful opulence.
