20 Kitchen & Bath Design News • March 2019 Moen Partners with Nebia NORTH OLMSTED, OH — Moen has partnered with Nebia, a Silicon Valley-based startup, to work together on shower innovations "that will impact how people around the world enjoy and conserve nature's most precious resource." The partnership, announced last month, was marked by the launch of the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0, the first of many anticipated collaborations between the compa- nies, corporate officials said. Aside from joint product development and distribution plans, Moen is also leading a "Series A" investment in Nebia, officials added. Earlier this year, Moen announced a partnership with another startup to offer more innovative ways to manage water supplies. "Moen is changing the game when it comes to helping consumers better under- stand and appreciate water," said Mark-Hans Richer, senior v.p./chief marketing and innovation officer for Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group, Moen's parent company. "Whether it's partnerships like Nebia, or the development of new tech- nologies, we're using innovation and artful design to transform how people interact with this resource," Richer said. "We're on a mission to build a more sustainable future, by building products that people love to use," said Philip Winter, co-founder and CEO of the Nebia, a San Francisco-based manufacturer founded in 2014 and backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors. "Moen has long been a leader in our industry and, together, we can bring mean- ingful innovation and provide even greater impact for people around the world," Winter observed. Coverings Comes to Orlando Next Month ARLINGTON, VA — Coverings, to be held April 9-12, 2019 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, will feature a wide range of interactive onsite experiences, including expanded favorites like the Installation & Design Experience and new activations in celebration of its 30th Anniversary. The South Lobby of the convention center will host a timeline with highlights from Coverings' heritage and a 30th Anniversary-branded photo booth. Exhibitors who have participated for 30 years will also be recognized. The Installation & Design Experience will expand its presence in 2019 with live, interactive showcases of the best tile installation techniques. Qualified, trained and certified tile installers will host demonstrations and conversations within the space, offering insights on common installation challenges and the use of trending materials. For 2019, three vignettes will anchor the experience, designed by locally based designers and architects: • Reginald Dunlap Interior Design design; Welch Tile & Marble installation; ESTIMA Ceramica products • Interstruct, Inc. design; C. C.
