February 2019 • KitchenBathDesign.com 19 MSI Updates Domain Name ORANGE, CA — MSI, the Orange, CA-based supplier of premium surfaces, has updated its domain name to reflect "the company's diverse selection of surfacing products," corporate officials an- nounced. MSI's former domain name, " m s i s t o n e . c o m ," h a s b e e n changed to "msisurfaces.com," said the company, which was founded in 1975 as a natural stone business but has since grown into a major surfacing products sup- plier whose inventory includes quartz, granite, travertine, por- celain and marble, as well as an array of manufactured surfacing products, including ceramic, vinyl and glass tile. "Our unique business model, strong partnerships and buying power have enabled us to provide a wide variety of high-quality, af- fordable products to the entire market," said MSI President Rup Shah. "We're so much more than stone, and our new domain name communicates this." Shah added that the company has "very ambitious" expansion plans, including opening new dis- tribution centers across the U.S. and Canada. MSI currently main- tains more than 150 million sq. ft. of inventory imported from over 36 countries, the company said. REHAU Acquires MB Barter MURI B. BERN AND STEINHAU- SEN, SWITZERLAND — REHAU Verwaltungszentrale AG has completed the acquisition of MB Barter & Trading AG following a positive decision by the antitrust authorities. The combination of REHAU's expertise in materials, process engineering and applications combined with MBT's global trading, logistics and distribution expertise creates new opportuni- ties through expanded business models, the company reported. The new independent compa- ny will combine the strengths of REHAU and MBT to focus on lo- gistics, trading and distribution of technically high-quality products and solutions, REHAU continued. "The successful completion of this transaction is an important milestone in the implementation of our vision to grow as a leading provider of polymer solutions," said Dr. Stefan Girschik, CEO of the new company. The new Board of Directors consists of Jobst Wagner, currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of REHAU Group and Thomas Endres, current Chairman of the Board of MBT. Stefan Girschik takes over the role of CEO, while Philipp Endres will be the Deputy CEO and Marco Zahnd the CFO. REHAU GmbH and its subsid- iaries will gradually merge its businesses with the acquired MBT companies un- til the joint market launch under a new name planned for the first half of 2019. SPEED.
