Exceptional Elements oday's kitchens are all about beauty with purpose, and manufacturers are delivering cabinet components that offer both elements in abun- dance. Trending finishes such as metallics and rustic woods are built to withstand even the most active families, delivering beautiful design year after year. The slow but steady switch from doors to drawers in cabinets has upped the game for drawer slides to deliver heavy-duty load bearing and full extension along with the expected soft close. Drawers now have slimmer sides to expand interior capacity, and interior organizational elements are both sophisticated and adjustable. Beauty and function go hand-in-hand with a number of available cabinet components, including cabinet lighting and glass door inserts. Both help the kitchen meet the demands of the homeowner for striking displays and ease of view. On this and the next three pages, Kitchen & Bath Design News provides a sampling of cabinet component products that reflect trending design and optimum functionality. 1. Federal Brace has released a new style of corbel, modernized with decora- tive metal trim. Available in the Transitional Mission, Scroll Mission, Mission Signature and Geneva styles, the maple wood corbels are supported with the Corbel Rib System, which provides a carrying capacity of 375 lbs. per support. The Geneva style, shown, features soft curves and clean lines. Circle No. 205 on Product Card 2.
