Freestanding tubs, contemporary sinks and faucets and bolder hardware colors like bronze and black are all popular with their buyers, he adds. They are also using light bars, but vertically, in both masters and powder rooms. "We are seeing secondary bathrooms mimic the same choices of the master bath, but on a smaller scale," Gehman notes. "For our model home market," DeWalt com- ments, "we are seeing options like very large walk-in showers with, occasionally, a steam feature and no soaking tub, or both with a free- standing tub. A private water closet is a must. Another very popular feature is a door from the master closet to the utility room, if possible."
