SieMatic Opens Flagship Showroom SAN FRANCISCO — German luxury kitchen brand SieMatic has opened a San Francisco-based kitchen design studio, located in a historic 1906 Art Deco building. The interior is defined by inspirational kitchen displays in design themes ranging from classic to minimal styles showcasing innovative cabinetry finishes and functionality. The company's Russian Hill location is also the brand's West Coast flagship. The 950-sq.-ft. kitchen design boutique is located on Pacific Avenue in an up- and-coming, design-centric and upscale boutique shopping neighborhood. The San Francisco full-service studio caters to designers, architects, builders and design-savvy consumers. "We are excited to officially launch SieMatic's West Coast flagship studio and showcase our kitchens in a boutique setting conducive to design inspira- tion. We are increasing our brand presence in San Francisco and providing a valuable kitchen design resource for the architecture and design community," said Scott Roy, CEO of SieMatic USA. SieMatic's new West Coast flagship showroom includes clean, modern displays showcased in a historic 1906 Art Deco building. Fantini Names Contest Winners NEW YORK — Fantini USA has named the winners of the second annual Fantini Design Awards, recognizing excellence in kitchen and bath design throughout North America. Architects, designers and building developers were called upon to submit eligible projects inspired by water and with a passion for Italian design that show how Fantini products helped turn their visions into reality. Now in its second year, the Fantini Design Awards selected seven winners, six from the category of completed projects and one future project, a new category to the competition for this year. Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges: Stefano Giussani, CEO, Lissoni Inc.; Jaime Derringer, founder and executive editor, Design Milk, and Arianne Nardo, Home + Design editor, Robb Report, on the basis of creativity, design, inspiration and quality of the submitted materials. Completed category winners are: • 5th Ave. Loft designed by Andrew Pollock Architect, PC • 1309 Maple Street designed by SMD Interiors • Gramercy Park Residence designed by Eric Petschek LLC • McGill 120 designed by La Firme • Osborne Residence designed by Reunion Goods & Services and Fogarty Finger • Vapor House designed by David Jameson Architect Inc. The Future category winner is: • Cedar Grove Residence designed by AKA Architecture + Design Inc. One representative per winning project travelled to the Fantini headquarters on Lake Orta in Pella, Italy as part of a four-day, all-expenses-paid trip.
