July 2018 • 19 Ferguson Launches DC Showroom NEWPORT NEWS, VA — Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery has opened its latest showroom at 5225 Wisconsin Avenue NW in Washington, DC – a 7,500-sq.-ft. boutique showroom nestled among the upscale retail shopping and metro living of Friendship Heights. A wide range of products are on display, including decorative lighting, custom cabinetry, high-end appliances and the latest trends in plumbing. "Our move to this trendy location allows us to offer an upscale, consultative shopping experience to customers within the beltway," said Michelle Ander- son, director of showroom and builder business for Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery in Metro Washington, DC. The showroom features luxury brands such as Gaggenau in the working kitchen, DXV in the working faucet display and a display wall of trending dec- orative black light fixtures. The showroom also includes a lighting lab, outdoor appliances and frameless cabinets. "The DC showroom is more than a place to see product; it's also a space where our customers can create, collaborate and learn," said Anderson. "For example, homeowners can spread out their idea books alongside their design- er's sample books to find inspiration. Architects can reserve the lighting lab to host client meetings. And trade professionals can attend continuing education unit courses presented by our vendor partners." IWF 2018 Award Finalists to Face Off ATLANTA, GA — Finalists for the IWF 2018 Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award Competition have been announced, with 23 companies vying for the prestigious honor at next month's exhibition. The finalists will per- form live demonstrations at the show site – the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA – the day before the International Woodworking Fair opens to attendees. The seven winners will be announced on opening day at 11:00 a.m. The IWF Challengers Award is known worldwide for recognizing outstanding companies that have developed innovative technology in products, services or manufacturing techniques that will advance the industry. A panel of 10 judges, all of whom are leading industry professionals rep- resenting a broad cross-section of the industry, reviewed and analyzed each entry to determine the 23 finalists. The judges will view the live demonstrations and select the winners.
