Elmira Stove Works Announces Kitchen Design Contest E L M I RA , O N — Elmira Stove Works has announced the 2017 Kitchen Design Challenge, offering appliance dealers, builders and kitchen designers the opportunity to showcase their Elmira projects, and win a voucher to purchase Elmira appliances or to promote Elmira in their market. By entering the contest, designers have the oppor- tunity to share their latest creations featuring Elmira Stove Works appliances. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: creativity and innovative approach, quantity of Elmira product used, overall aesthetics of the design, compatibility of kitchen elements and WOW! factor. Entries must include high-quality photographs and a description of the design project. Elmira is accepting entries now through Oct. 31, 2017, and voting will begin on Nov. 10, 2017. The designs of up to 10 finalists will be posted on Elmira's Facebook page, where fans will vote by "liking" their favorite project. The first place winner will receive a $2,500 voucher that can be used to purchase Elmira appliances, or to pro- mote Elmira in their market area. Duravit Names Winners in Designer Dream Bath Competition NEW YORK — Duravit has announced the winners of its fourth annual Designer Dream Bath Competition, recogniz- ing the bathroom design work of architects and designers. The competition's two project categories are Unbuilt and Built. For the Unbuilt category, designers reimagined their own bathroom using a range of Duravit's products, including the Darling New vanity with c-bonded technolo- gy, P3 Comforts, and ME by Starck. Participating designers used images and floor plans of their existing bathroom, along with renderings. For Built, designers shared a recently completed project highlighting Duravit products. The winner of the Unbuilt project category was Edu - ardo Lam of ASD | SKY in Atlanta. Lam's winning design incorporated the following Duravit products: the DuraStyle two-piece toilet, the Stonetto shower tray, a DuraStyle wall-mounted vanity with two Foster wash bowls, a mirror and light system and DuraStyle bathtub. He will receive $10,000 in Duravit products. The winners of the Built project category were Bron- wyn Breitner and Luigi Ciaccia of 590BC, LLC in Brooklyn, NY. Breitner and Ciaccia renovated a 1923 co-op with the following Duravit products: the Starck 3 Toilet, Starck Bathtub and the Vero Washbasin. They will receive $5,000 worth of Duravit products. Honorable mentions were also selected in both categories. Wayne Turett of The Turett Collaborative located in New York and Oliver Valle in Brooklyn, NY, got honorable mentions in the Unbuilt category and Melinda O'Connor of Melinda Kelson O'Connor De- signs in Philadelphia, PA, got an honorable mention in the Built category. This year's judging panel included Michelle Brunner (Luxe Interiors + Design), Parker Larson (Architectural Digest), Susan Szenasy (Metropolis), Vanessa Deleon (Vanessa Deleon Associates), and Abby Bullard (Stone- hill Taylor). Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry Awards Top Showrooms NEW HOLLAND, PA — Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry re- cently honored more than 30 of its top showrooms with sales awards for 2014 and 2015. The awards were present- ed at the company's bi-annual National Dealer Conference in Leola, PA. "2016 is an important year as we celebrate the 65th anniversary for Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry," said Jason Artus, v.p. of sales and marketing. "As part of this cele- bration, we wanted to honor the dedicated showrooms that have made our growth possible. We look forward to continuing to honor them for the next 65 years." Award recipients were honored with platinum, gold, silver and bronze achievement awards for each respective year. In addition, eight showrooms were honored for their longtime partnership with Rutt.
