Hudson Valley Lighting Expands with New Headquarters Site NEWBURGH, NY — Hudson Valley Lighting has purchased a site that will serve as the company's new world headquarters in Hudson Valley's Wappingers Falls. The new location sits on 67 acres of land and occupies more than 261,916 square feet, including a 245,000-sq.-ft. industrial warehouse and manufacturing facility and 16,740-sq.-ft. ofce area. Construction has begun on the existing buildings which, when fnished, will incorporate green building strategies and practices and LEED Certifcation requirements. Renovations include a redesigned and confgured ware- house facility that will house the newest inventory and distribution systems for both Hudson Valley Lighting and Littman Brands' sister company, SONNEMAN – A Way of Light. The warehouse will also serve as the East Coast distri- bution center for West Coast-based CSL (Creative Systems Lighting). In addition, the new executive headquarters will in - clude a design and photography studio, showroom, complete custom designed business ofces, executive suites, confer- ence areas and indoor and outdoor dining areas around the campus. The new state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to be completed in summer 2016. The property allows for 200,000 square feet of additional structures for future expansion. Cosentino Gathers North American Customers NEW YORK, NY — Cosentino Group hosted its top custom- ers from the U.S. and Canada for its annual "Cosentino 100" event in Los Cabos, Mexico last month. The industry's largest manufacturer conference is focused on bringing together customers and partners for thoughtful conversation on the industry and projections for the year ahead. In addition to sharing the company's 2016 business strate- gy, including its continued expansion in North America – most notably into the Canadian market – Cosentino unveiled its new "Elevate Your Surface Standards" campaign. The campaign challenges Cosentino's customer network to elevate every el- ement of their businesses, from educational accreditations to performance standards and safety measures. Over the course of 2016, Cosentino will support this initiative by increasing education courses made available for CEU, enhancing sup- port and continuing its investment in R&D; to bring innovative products and solutions to market. This year's event brought together the largest group in the conference's history, with 340 attendees representing over 120 fabrication companies and 16 stone manufacturing machinery companies. Industry partners such as the professional trade organizations ASID, NARI and the NKBA, as well as North American design frms, luxury kitchen and bath retailers, and media properties also participated in the 2016 conference. TheSize Announces Neolith Design Competition Winners ALMAZORA, SPAIN — TheSize, manufacturer of sintered compact surface brand Neolith, has announced the winners of its second annual international design competition. The competition was designed to highlight the creativity and innovation among architects, interior designers, remodelers and students incorporating Neolith products. The competition has two regions – Europe and the Americas (North and South America) – and two catego- ries per region: My Neolith Project for professionals and Neolith New Talents for students. All entries were judged by a panel of professionals in architecture, interior design and construction, including architect Luís Vidal, the Interior Designers Association of Valencia, and the Spanish edition of Architectural Digest magazine. Professionals needed to complete a residential or com- mercial remodeling project using Neolith surfacing in a creative way. The winners of the My Neolith Project compe- tition won an all-inclusive trip for two to Living Interiors 2016, the European interior design show in Cologne, Germany. Students competed under the theme "The Neolith Restaurant of the Future," designing an innovative restau- rant and kitchen space capable of stimulating the five senses using Neolith as the primary surface. The winner received an all-inclusive trip for two to the 2016 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas, NV. The Americas Region Winning Projects: My Neolith Project for Professionals • Mary Kostas Lambrakos (MKL Design) and Kyle Humphries (Murphy Mears Architects) from Houston, TX. Neolith New Talents for Students Winning Project: • Natalia Florez from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Europe Region Winning Projects: • Jose Manuel Fernandez and German Alvarez from Madrid, Spain.
