14 | Kitchen & Bath Design News | November 2015 Industry Update { Noteworthy developments impacting the kitchen and bath market } Whirlpool Continues Habitat Partnership Atlanta, GA — Building on its 16-year partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Whirlpool Corp. has announced that it will continue to provide a new range and refrigerator for every new Habitat for Humanity home in the U.S. in 2015, donating up to $5 million in products throughout the year. Whirlpool will also sponsor eight new home builds in partnership with families in need of afordable housing in the U.S. Builds fully funded by Whirlpool will take place in Marion, OH; Bloomington, IN, and Benton Harbor, MI, covering the entire cost of constructing the home. Partially sponsored builds scheduled for 2015 will take place in Dallas, TX; Tampa, FL; Greenville, OH; Amana, IA, and Cleveland, TN. For the sixth consecutive year, Whirlpool Corp. will also partici- pate in a blitz build with the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Students at Indiana University and Whirlpool employees will work together to build a home in 10 days in partnership with a family in the Bloomington area. Additionally, Whirlpool will continue its Habitat Ambassador Pro- gram, which was developed to create champions for the company's signature charities. Whirlpool Ambassadors are actively engaged in the partnership with Habitat and fulfll leadership positions on local Habitat boards, participate in construction activities and represent Whirlpool at Habitat-related events. Mansfeld Plumbing Awards Scholarships Perrysville, OH — Mansfeld Plumbing has awarded $1,000 scholarships to each of four college students whose parents work at the plumbing product manufacturer location in Perrysville, OH. The award recipients are: Kolton Edmondson, Zackary Lane, Abigail Sgro and Lauren Thompson. "We've ofered our scholarship program to deserving children of our employees for several years," says Natalie Thomas, v.p. of human resources at Mansfeld Plumb- ing. "We're always honored to support the educational eforts of students pursuing higher education." Cosentino Celebrates With Color Cantoria, Spain — Cosentino Group has introduced a new Silestone color, Acqua Fraccaroli, in collaboration with Brazilian interior designer and architect Brunete Fraccaroli, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The launch of the new, limited edition color – a fresh, bluish- green tone – is being carried out worldwide through events in the cities of London, New York, Vancouver, Sao Paolo, Sydney, Singapore, Tel Aviv, Milano and Barcelona.
