Traditional looks continue to lean toward transitional, with less ornamentation and a less fussy style. For contemporary kitchens, warm tones and bright colors provide a personal- ized style without being stark. Sleek, high-gloss paints and exotic patterns ofer interest in the modern kitchen, while textured woods with transparent fnishes add a natural charm to rustic designs. Transitional kitchens make a statement with interesting wood grains and paints of all hues. While whites continue to be the most popular colors for the painted look, shades of gray continue to trend, with both pale and vivid tones making appearances. Interior amenities continue to push the functional envelope, with ev- ery inch of cabinet space working for the kitchen. Blind-corner pull-outs, double drawers and full-extension slides provide access to even the deepest recesses. LED lights are illuminating the interiors of cabinets and drawers as well as toe kicks and countertops. Providing up-to-the-minute door styles, fnishes and interior fttings is a challenge for today's cabinet manufacturers, and they are meeting designers' and consumers' needs with a greater selection than ever before. KBDN's 32nd annual 'Kitchen Cabinet Style & Design Guide' provides a look at cabinet manufacturers and their current activity and product lines. It is designed to provide important information to help cabinet specifers stay in touch with the products currently available on the market. Since cabinet lines and oferings change frequently, KBDN suggests that product specifers contact the companies directly when needing ad- ditional information. 2015 Kitchen Cabinet Style & Design Guide Alno kitchen designer and architect Jara Barreto created this kitchen using the company's Starline cabinetry.
