September 2015 | KitchenBathDesign.com | 15 Daltile Opens Miami Studio Miami, FL — Daltile has opened a new, 4,600-sq.-ft. design studio in Miami. The two-story studio space, complete with tile library as well as communal and private workspaces, is accompanied by a KeysGranite stone and slab yard. "The space provides not only a place to view and select product, but a professional environment where designers and architects can feel comfortable staying to work for a few hours, or bringing their customers in for consultation," said April Wilson, di- rector, brand marketing, Dal-Tile. The Daltile/KeysGranite Miami Design Studio welcomes visitors with a byzantine glass mural of a bird of paradise fower. The tropical palette and South Beach-inspired ambiance encompasses the studio as customers take in products displayed on foors, walls and vignettes. "The space emulates the other Daltile design studios in some ways, but has a character of its own that re- ally refects what is hot in Miami right now – whites, neutrals and big, bold shapes," said Glenn Isenmann, associ- ate for Gensler, the global architecture, design, planning and consulting frm that designed the studio for Daltile. Precious and exotic stones, as well as large-format tile options, are dis- played prominently due to the high demand among local designers. At the center of the space, a custom chande- lier made with tile pieces hangs over a large meeting table. The Miami studio is the fourth Daltile design studio to open its doors, joining Dallas, Philadelphia and San Francisco as a regional design hub for the brand.
