As the grand-prize winner of the competi- tion, Sapinoso was presented with a $10,000 scholarship at NeoCon 2014 in Chicago to continue her education in the feld of interior design. Sapinoso's winning design was on display at NeoCon 2014, where she was present as Daltile's guest of honor. First-, second- and third- prize winners each received a $2,500 scholarship, and 10 merit winners received a $1,000 scholarship each, for a total of $27,500 in scholarships awarded. "On behalf of Daltile and the ASID Foundation, we congratulate Jessica Sapinoso on winning the Daltile In- terior Design Scholarship," said Lori Kirk-Rolley, v.p., brand marketing, Dal-Tile Corp. "Once again, students from around the country rose up to our design challenge, demonstrating that the future of interior design is bright indeed." This year's design challenge, titled Operation Renovation, was to trans- form an outdated space in dire need of a renovation. Entries were judged on the space's function, aesthetic and creative use of Daltile's newest product oferings to bring each stu- dent's vision to life. The grand prize winner, three finalists and 10 merit scholarship NKBA Announces Design Contest Hackettstown, NJ — The 2015 NKBA Design Competition is now open for entries, according to the National Kitchen & Bath Association. To qualify, a project must have been completed in the past year. Entries must include clear photos of the project, a concise design statement, elevations and a foor plan to scale. Winners will receive special awards and cash prizes present- ed at a special ceremony during KBIS 2015 in Las Vegas. All entry packets must be recieved at NKBA Headquarters by August 1, 2014.
