Industry Update { Noteworthy developments impacting the kitchen and bath market } Delta Faucet Co. Named WaterSense Partner of the Year Indianapolis, IN — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named Delta Faucet Co. a 2013 WaterSense Manufacturer Partner of the Year. The manufacturer of Delta, Brizo and Peerless branded products was honored in Las Vegas during the sixth annual WaterSmart Innovations Conference for its commitment to water efciency and outstanding eforts to support the WaterSense program during 2012. "As a WaterSense partner since the program's inception, we are committed to working with the EPA to encourage efcient use of water resources and protect the future of our nation's water supply," said Richard O'Reagan, president, Delta Faucet Co. "From consciously working to reduce our footprint to developing environmentally friendly products and technologies, we recognize our role in helping to sustain the environment." This award marks the second time Delta Faucet Co. has received this recognition from the EPA; the company was named 2011 WaterSense Manufacturer Partner of the Year. In 2012, Delta Faucet Company continued its eforts to support WaterSenselabeled products and water efciency by ensuring that 100 percent of its bathroom collections ofer a faucet and showerhead that meet EPA's efciency and performance criteria. Also, in 2012, the company launched its Corrente and Prelude toilets, expanding its WaterSense-labeled oferings into a new category. In addition to promoting its WaterSense-labeled products year-round, Delta Faucet launched a collaborative, coast-to-coast water efciency campaign in celebration of the EPA's annual Fix a Leak Week program in 2012. Teaming up with several utility partners in cities across the U.S., Delta Faucet donated its WaterSense-labeled showerheads and worked with volunteers to install them and other water-saving products in nearly 2,000 housing units in 10 diferent cities. "All of our WaterSense partners have taken steps to reduce our nation's water use, but several stood out in 2012 for their commitment to the WaterSense program and collaborative eforts to promote WaterSense-labeled products, new homes and outreach and educational programs," said Nancy Stoner, EPA's acting assistant administrator for water. "We are pleased to honor Delta Faucet Co. for its eforts that support our mission to protect the future of our nation's water supply." Jenn-Air Expands Advisory Council Benton Harbor, MI — Designer Christopher Peacock has joined the Jenn-Air Design Advisory Council, whose members provide insights and feedback on a range of topics. "As a luxury brand we are always looking at ways to elevate the Jenn-Air experience for everyone," says Jenn-Air Brand Experience Manager Juliet Johnson. "Collaborating with renowned design experts for their feedback and expertise in a range of areas that include everything from product design ideas to improving product specifcation standards is one way we're doing this." Peacock and Jenn-Air launched their collaboration earlier this year when they opened the doors to a showroom in Manhattan, occupying the entire ffth foor of the Decoration & Design (D&D;) Annex and featuring three Christopher Peacock kitchens, fully outftted with Jenn-Air appliances. Whirlpool Sponsors Homes for Our Troops Benton Harbor, MI — Whirlpool Corp. continues its commitment to supporting U.S. military veterans by becoming the ofcial home appliance sponsor of Homes for Our Troops. HFOT is a national non-proft organization that assists veterans who are severely injured in combat by raising money, building materials and professional labor, and coordinating the process to build a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently. Since 2004, HFOT has handed over the keys to nearly 140 home build projects, and for the next three years, homes will include a full suite of new Whirlpool brand major appliances and KitchenAid brand countertop appliances.
