Transformations After t For designer Bob Prindiville, owner of Milwaukee, WI-based Design Group Three, the frst challenge was the need to stay within the existing footprint of the small kitchen while providing a more stylish, updated look and enhanced functionality. To update the look of the space, he chose Greenfeld cherry cabinets with a two-toned fnish, incorporating a host of upgraded interior accessories to maximize storage. New granite countertops add pizzazz, while an island doubles as both a work space and an eating space. The tile backsplash over the range ofers an eye-catching focal point, while a unique lighting fxture adds contemporary appeal. The end result is a styilsh kitchen that looks and works better. t Before The clients had grown tired of their kitchen, which was installed by the original home builder. The design was dated, there was virtually no counterspace, storage was at a premium and the kitchen simply did not function as well as it should. While there's plenty of hard work involved in taking a project from conception to completion, there's something inspiring about reviewing where a space started – and how it turned out. This month's Transformations features a tired, dated kitchen with little storage and work space that is now a functional, fabulous room for the whole family.
