PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
��� Karin Edwards, Karin H. Edwards Interiors in Des Moines, IA,
remodeled her master bathroom with her husband in mind,
channeling the aura of a traditional Ivy League Gentleman���s
Club and enhancing it with graceful details.
��� Prominent ���club��� features include distinctive qoor-to-ceiling,
custom-stained walnut panels, while feminine touches include
the contemporary-styled Victoria + Albert Amalp volcanic
limestone tub, accented with a beaded chandelier above.
��� To gain extra space, the designer eliminated a second window.
As such, Edwards paid special attention to materials, pnishes
and how light is reqected in the space. ���I knew if did this right
I wouldn���t need the light,��� she says.
��� Since openness was a concern, Edwards eliminated the door
between the bathroom and bedroom. To maintain privacy
for personal bathroom functions, Edwards hid the toilet and
shower from direct sightlines of the bed.
��� Edwards also included additional design details such as
Porcelenosa tiles in the shower and on the qoor, Axor Citterio
pxtures at the lavatory and in the shower, a Corian vanity top
and Kohler sinks.

waterfall edge. Fully functional
drawers and medicine cabinets
hidden behind the mirrors o���er
storage. Axor Citterio pxtures
feature a recessed plate to
maintain the geometry of the
space. Their swan necks add a
soft, graceful touch.
