Industry Update { Noteworthy developments impacting the kitchen and bath market } Stone Program Wins AIA Approval for CEU Credit Cleveland, OH ��� The American Institute of Architects has approved ���Natural Stone Tile: An Overview��� as a CEU course available to Marble Institute of America members who are part of the MIA���s CEU Program, the MIA announced. The CEU Program of the Cleveland, OHbased MIA helps participating members connect with architects and design professionals by certifying them as approved providers of CEU courses. The MIA works to register these courses with the AIA and IDCEC, a consortium of interior design associations. ���Natural Stone Tile: An Overview��� is the 12th such course to be recognized. ���Natural Stone Tile: An Overview��� is a one-hour course that familiarizes design professionals with the resources available for installation methods and specifying standards for natural stone tile, according to the MIA. The course reviews the characteristics of natural stone in order to explain how it may a���ect particular projects. 12 | Kitchen & Bath Design News Circle No. 07 on Product Card Electrolux Relocates Laundry Products R&D; Center to NC Charlotte, NC ��� Electrolux will relocate its North American laundry products research and development center from Webster City, IA, to Charlotte, NC, the company announced. The move, according to corporate executives, ���signals a commitment to further product innovation���and builds on the design, testing and marketing capabilities that already exist��� in the company���s North American headquarters. ���Electrolux is driving a strong pace of new product innovation to continually create consumer value,��� said corporate spokesman Chris Harris. ���We are increasing our R&D; investment, moving closer to major science, engineering and technology universities and leveraging on the state-of-the-art research facilities that we already have in Charlotte.��� ROHL, LLC Hosts Perrin & Rowe Celebration Events in New York New York ��� ROHL, LLC recently welcomed Steve Cole, managing director, Perrin & Rowe, to the U.S. for several exclusive events. The visit was in celebration of authentic British design and the recent release of the ROHL Perrin & Rowe Jubilee Collection. As part of the celebration, two exclusive industry events were held, one at the Clive Christian Showroom in the Architect & Design Building in New York, as well as the Blackman Southampton Showroom in Southampton, NY.
